Prideraiser 2024

let everyone know

For the month of June, the Northern Guard supporters, along with other DCFC supporters and soccer fans across the country, will raise money for organizations supporting LGBTQ+ initiatives in their communities.

We are proud to once again be supporting the Ruth Ellis Center, which provides health, wellness and many other support efforts for at-risk LGBTQ+ youth in metro Detroit.

Make your pledge by clicking the link below, then follow Detroit City Football club during the month of June. For every City goal scored by the men’s and women’s teams, we’ll raise more money to the Ruth Ellis Center with the incredible work they do in the community.

How can you help?

For 2024, we are pledging against all home goals scored by the senior DCFC men's and women's teams in the month of June. That's EIGHT matches (including the men's friendly against LIGA MX side Pumas on June 22) and EIGHT opportunities to help support this critical work to support our LGBTQ+ neighbors.

We’re asking you to join us in pledging some cash $$/goal to support this critical LGBTQ+ resource in our community or if you're only passing through briefly, we are also accepting one-time-donations! Fittingly, in the 25th year of the Ruth Ellis Center, the Detroit City faithful will reach $250K in donations to the Ruth Ellis Center! Needless to say we're once again excited to take our Detroit City Prideraiser to another level with Ally along with us this summer.

About the campaign

Founded in 1999, the Ruth Ellis Center works with LGBTQ+ youth. Nationwide, LGBTQ+ youth have a 120% higher risk of homelessness than their peers. To address that, Ruth Ellis Center has four facilities in Detroit and Highland Park including drop-in centers, a health & wellness center providing integrated primary and behavioral healthcare services, and a permanent housing facility with integrated services that opened in 2022.

About The Ruth Ellis Center

Ally, longtime friends of Ruth Ellis Center and our co-partner last season, have joined for a third year to help continue the amazing work we all have managed to do, and in conjunction with the club, are helping spread the word and provide additional resources to further Ruth Ellis Center's mission!
